Random notes: Reached school in 4 minutes. Walk to General Office. Wait for HOD. Because at the TPP I did not meet any other teachers posted to JJC so I thought jialat.. lonely. At the GO, nice clerk lady told me there was another girl, C, also a contract teacher for economics. I happy. Girl C came. C and I went canteen for drinks. On our way, we saw Miss Ng, my former JJ form teacher cum Chinese teacher. She remembers me la and that I am that girl from Nanyang hahaha! JJC have Each-a-cup. After that, HOD brought us around a bit. Chin Chew Fong resigned earlier in the year. :( Sad. Thought can see her again and shock her that her ex lousy student is coming back to teach her subject. The cargo boxes are no longer there, now a 2 or isit 3 storey mini building with rooms for some entrepreneurship thingy and chinese thingy and few empty rooms. Had short briefing with HOD who briefly shared with us the new H1 H2 syllabus and she gave us some notes to read. Both C and I don't have to teach for now... at least not until the promos are over because don't want to disrupt the J1s' classes. Sit in for 2 tutorials and a lecture. Lucky got companion, can chit chat with C. She talked about her hamsters and I talked about mine. And she showed me a photo of her rabbit which I thought was strangely familiar I saw the same rabbit somewhere online on Flickr. And then I had to ask her .. whether she's a member on flickr too. She say yes. I think oh god must be her. I asked her for her account name. She say jade c and I said I know you!!! Hahaha. yea. We are both members of this hamsters photos community on flickr! I have seen and commented on her pictures before. She saw mine and commented mine before. I joined Flickr in Feb after I got my hamsters so I could post theirpictures online. Jade C was one of the few members whose pictures I follow since Feb because she has really nice pictures and her hams are so cute. She also has this funny grumpy bunny. I knew she was a singaporean and I only know of 2 other singaporean members. Other members are from other countries. I knew jade c lived in the west too but I have never seen or met her. What a really weird coincidence to meet her in JJC as fellow contract teachers! Of all people her! It's so amazing. Day ended late because of meetings. left for home at 6 plus. Still I had a nice Day 1! :)

Argh. Still cannot post pictures! My blogger is missing the formatting options. Have to do with just words for now. :E Saturday 25 July. Had a great day with bf. We had lunch with his mum and sister at Ju Shin Jung Korean Charcoal BBQ (Yess Centre #01-18 27 West Coast Highway Singapore 117867. Tel: 6464 0872). The food was good! And the service was superb too. The waitresses/ waiters happily helped us barbecued the meat at our table so all we had to do is just eat! I preferred the marinated chicken while boyfriend enjoyed both chicken and pork. I didn't like the bbq pork though... too tough to chew. Lots of different small dishes to try, like the pumpkin soup and bibimbap which I thought were really good. Oh yea, the waitress helped us mix the bibimbap and dish it out in 4 portions for us so we didn't have to do it ourselves haha.. just eat! The meal ended with watermelon cut into lovely heart shapes and barley water which was so sweet but so nice. :D Evening was spent at Marina Barrage with boyfriend. Our first time there. Quite a nice place but it was swarmed. Singaporeans don't really have many places to go yea. We can see the Flyer and the Floating platform place where the NDP will be from Marina Barrage... and we were lucky because the ndp rehearsal was on and the chinooks and fighter planes were flying over our heads! Bf was so excited. Later at night we had Macs for dinner yippee... I was craving for it so bad. Shaker fries! And lucky us because the blur mcdonald guy gave us 2 packs of fries though we only ordered 1. Hee hee. 27/28 July I had Teachers' Preparatory Programme at Teachers Network at Grange Road. Speaker was Foo Chee Meng. Really experienced and engaging and interesting. The programme really helped make me feel more prepared and less nervous about teaching. Helps me know more about what to expect, how to handle situations etc etc.

My new favourite drink is Pokka Melon Milk! BF discovered it! :D It's not so new in Japan or here in Singapore but more widely available only recently I think. Or maybe we didn't notice it before. After the first can I start seeing it everywhere... all the Pokka vending machines and even Sheng Siong hahaha. It's so nice. The melon taste is just-right-sweet and the milk taste is subtle so it's not too "milky". I am not a very milky person so yeah. There's also the strawberry and mango versions... tasted the mango one ... not so nice. Go try Pokka Melon Milk! Only 75 cents in Sheng Siong. :P Sheng Siong is cool ok.. they have Diners Club card leh.. like wt*. The gown on display in BlueBay Wedding Studio at Cityhall is gorgeous! At Capitol Building, along Stamford Rd, where the bus stop is. It's the first and only gown that I have seen in my entire life that I think is pretty. All the other gowns I ever saw when I pass by bridal shops are like so sequin-ny, too lacy, too flowery, t0o auntie, too qi-yue-ge-tai, too OLD. This one is so pretty! Simple enough yet princess-like. Makes me feel fluttery. :D

you will be posted to Jurong Junior College with effect from 27 July 2009. You will be deployed to teach Economics and English Language. :D :E :P :< :/ :[ :O :X Yippee and No Yippee. Relieved that it's JJC and not PJC or Meridien or whatever else. It's good that the school is literally a stone's throw away. Means no need to wake up early to squeeze bus or train. Means save on transport. Means reach home asap. Means more time left for myself and boyfriend. Means I can go home and kiss my hamsters during recess. No Yippee because I am terrified really!!! HAHAHA. So terrified gone crazy. Economics OMG. GP OMG. I MUST STUDY NOW shit
